The Technology Portal
These, and other technologies significantly affect how humans interact with the natural environment. Many important technological advances are related to transportation, some early examples being seaworthy boats, and the invention of the wheel. More recent examples include rail transport, automobiles, aviation, and spaceflight. Some technologies have improved our ability to interact and communicate with each other, such as the development of a written language, the printing press, the telephone, and most recently the Internet.
